SSMB29: Security Tightens After Mahesh Babu's Scene Leaks Online

Director Rajamouli’s globe-trotting action adventure, SSMB29, with Pan Indian stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is a project that holds great expectation among the audience. The highly- anticipated project has attracted the social media interest recently, after a video leak from its sets.

Despite the makers’ efforts to keep the project under wraps, clips from the sets continue to leak online, frustrating the makers. To curb these issues, the SSMB29 team has reportedly decided to tighten security and take necessary legal action.

Makers were compelled to adopt this strict measure since a crucial scene featuring Mahesh Babu surfaced online. In the leaked video, the Guntur Kaaram star is seen walking towards another actor, presumably Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is seated in a wheelchair.

The scene takes a dramatic turn as Mahesh Babu is forcefully pushed to the ground, with guns pointed at him as he kneels. This video that was filmed from inside a car has gone viral and affected the team’s efforts to maintain secrecy. Though no official complaint has been made yet, it is expected soon.

Filming for SSMB29 is currently taking place at Talamali Hilltop in Koraput’s Semiliguda block. According to the report, a three-layer protection system has been implemented for the rest of the schedule to ensure security.

Earlier, a glimpse of the grand set built on the Koraput region had circulated online, revealing the film’s epic landscapes. The district administration is actively supporting the production while also highlighting Koraput’s scenic landscapes.

SSMB29 is touted to be a global jungle action adventure film. The plot is rumored to feature Mahesh Babu in a role inspired by Lord Hanuman from Hindu mythology.

It marks Rajamouli’s first collaboration with Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra and is being produced on a massive budget of approximately Rs 900-1000 crore. The film is planned as a two-part release. The first installment is expected to hit theaters in 2027, followed by the second part in 2029.
