“How Do I Cram My...?”: Priyanka Chopra Recalls Terrifying Wildfire Evacuation From LA Home
Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently opened up about an emotional and frightening moment when she had to evacuate her Los Angeles home during the devastating California wildfires.
The actor, who now lives in Los Angeles with her husband Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, spoke about the experience during a conversation with the American podcaster Joe Rogan.
Priyanka said she usually keeps a “go-bag” ready with essential items in case of emergencies. However, when wildfires spread across California, and she had to leave her home quickly, the situation became deeply emotional.

Recalling the moment, she said she stood in her room, wondering what to take with her. Nick Jonas was not in town at the time and had asked her to pack the emergency bag.
“How do I cram my whole life in a bag?” she remembered thinking.
Priyanka explained that the situation made her realise what truly mattered. While she packed important documents like passports and birth certificates, she also took items with deep emotional value.
Among them were her daughter Malti’s first haircut and a keepsake from one of her old films. She said these were things that could never be replaced.
The actor also described how frightening the wildfire looked from her home. She said the flames spreading across the hills behind their house looked “like a volcano”, and the scale of the fire felt overwhelming.
During the interview, Priyanka also spoke about her personal life and shared that her roast episode was written by Nick Jonas, a gesture that made the moment surprising and funnier.
On the work front, Priyanka continues to stay busy with international projects and a new project Globetrotter by Rajamouli, further strengthening her position as a global entertainment figure.
