
SSMB29: Is SS Rajamouli Planning A Boat Action Sequence With Mahesh Babu And Priyanka Chopra?
Director SS Rajamouli is currently on his way to create history in Indian cinema with his upcoming directorial venture, tentatively titled SSMB29. The director, who is known for offering spectacular visual experiences, is once again cooking up something breathtaking.
This time, the director seems to be experimenting with elements like water, fire, and unexplored lands of the world. In terms of land, the director will be exploring the most virgin locations of India and Africa, capturing the beauty of diverse terrains, dense forests, serene rivers and mysterious caves in his forest adventure film.
Moreover, for the adventure on water, the director will be shooting a high-octane action sequence set on a boat. As per the report, the cast of the film — including Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj—will soon begin intensive preparation for the action sequence.

These elaborate action scenes are said to involve fire and water along with large-scale chaos. These intense fight sequences are to be choreographed by international stunt coordinators to meet global standards. The training of the sequence is expected to commence by the end of April, with nearly 3,000 people, including the lead actors, participating in the preparatory work.
The shoot for this sequence is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad throughout May and June. However, the lead actors will film their parts at different times based on their individual schedules. It is also reported that actress Priyanka will shoot her portions first, followed by actors Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj, who is reportedly playing a powerful antagonist.

The plot is rumored to feature Mahesh Babu in a role inspired by Lord Hanuman from Hindu mythology. Blending action, adventure, history and mythology, this film is promised to create history in Indian cinema.
It marks Rajamouli’s first collaboration with Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra and is being produced on a massive budget of approximately Rs 900-1000 crore. The film is planned as a two-part release. The first installment is expected to hit theaters in 2027, followed by the second part in 2029.
