Thalapathy Vijay’s action-packed GOAT, which has a run-time of almost three hours, is a multi-starrer that boasts 90s actors including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram and Sneha.

The film, an espionage spy thriller, uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to bring back late Vijayakanth. The director, Venkat Prabhu, while speaking to India Today said that initially, the movie was during its pre-production during Covid-19 and late Vijaykanth was part of it. However, following Vijaykanth’s demise, the director paying tribute to the actor decided to feature him in the film using AI tools.

GOAT takes off in Kenya in 2008 where a special anti-terrorist squad (SATS) team recovered stolen uranium from a group of terrorists led by Omar and Rajiv Menon. And here’s where the stellar 90’s kids play the role. Vijay along with his squad members cum friends Kalyan (Prabhu Deva), Sunil (Prashanth), Shaam (Ajay) come back victorious to India but create havoc in the mission and receive flak from their chief Nazeer (Jayaram) for this.

Despite all the flaws, what truly works for the film is the Old Guard standing tall. Prashanth, Sneha, Prabhu Deva, Laila and of course, Vijay, everyone brings their A-game.
