Vijay’s much anticipated movie The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) released today, and fans are groing frenzy. The surprise elements of the film were shared all over social media platforms. It has always been hard to keep surprises in a Vijay film, as fans could never tame their excitement. The film is getting mixed reactions on social media platforms.

One X user updated after watching first half of the film, and wrote, “#TheGreatestOfAllTime – First Half – VP ‘Delivered’. A clean & perfectly packaged film so far with enough fun, heroism & a predictable yet good twist. Vijay is a treat to watch. Fun, emotion & heroism, he just nailed it. Stage is perfectly set for the second half”.

Another user encouraged to book tickets for the film and watch it with family. He said, “#GOAT: Overall good flick!! Book tickets, take your family, and enjoy!! I liked it better than Leo”. Leo is Vijay’s another well received movie and was released in 2023.

Another user said the film exceed all expectations. The user said The GOAT is a commercial cinema at its best, with an “Engaging first half, peak second half, banger climax”.

However, not everyone is impressed with the film. One user said it could have easily been Venkat Prabhu’s “finest work to date if he had corrected a few fatal errors”.

Another user also said that the film could have been better. They said Vijay did his best and carried the movie all the way, and noted that it was “too lengthy, average screenplay. No logic and lot of usual dramatic scenes. BGM is average too”.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT explores the story of seasoned spies and an unknown past resurfacing in the life of the lead character and how it casts a shadow over his current life. Adding to the excitement, Vijay plays dual roles in the film as a father and a son.
