Sneha Returns With 'GOAT': The Sweet Reunion After 21 Years

The return of the 90s evergreen sweethearts to the screen and of course, the return of the ‘Smiling Queen’ of Kollywood- Sneha. With excitement buzzing around, it is important to note whether it declared her Kollywood comeback.
The ‘Smiling Queen’ has made her way back to the screen with Vijay’s GOAT and this has been one of the exciting factors of the movie. Among all those ’90s reunions, this part is a bit heartwarming as it takes the audience to the evergreen days, which is the pairing of Thalapathy Vijay and Sneha. The duo finally shared the screen after almost 21 years. They were last seen together in the 2003 romantic film, Vaseegara.
Moreover, adding layers to the audience’s delight, Sneha shared a comparatively larger screen time than any other actresses in the movie. Thankfully, the brilliance of the script has given her a space to bring back her acting prowess. So, here is the answer to the bubbling curiosity.
Sneha is, arguably the female lead in the movie as she portrays the character Anu, wife of the protagonist, helmed by Vijay. Her presence has filled the screen as a part of comic, serious, and dramatic scenes in the movie.

The actress expressed her gratitude highlighting that she had a “role to play in the film,” which has something to do with the story’s progression. Surprisingly, the reunion of the duo was planned long back with Vijay’s 2023 release Vaarisu. But Sneha rejected the offer as she was asked to play the sister of Vijay’s character. In her recent interaction, she also expressed the positivity of rejecting the previous offer, which eventually brought back her glory by landing in the GOAT.
