Amazon Prime on Tuesday unveiled the list of Bollywood films and series will be streamed after their theatrical run on the OTT platform.

Prime Video along with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Excel Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Maddock Films announced their new titles for 2024 during its star-studded event on March 19. Soon after the theatrical release, from Stree 2 to Housefull 5, this movie has found their OTT home on Amazon Prime Video. Finally, the celebration mood is on. Prime has shared the official posters and the first look for the adrenaline-hiking experience.

This announcement has come a week after rival Netflix India announced its slate of programming for 2024.

Apart from this, the streaming platform has announced close to 70 series and movies, most of them to be premiered on the service over the next 2 years. The platform”s upcoming originals will also have something to offer to every household.

The list features 40 original series and movies, and 29 films that will stream all across Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Aparna Purohit, the head of originals, India and Southeast Asia said that the platform content has successfully reached over 210 countries and territories in any given week in 2023.

Globally, the OTT platform has increased its content spend on music and video content by 14% year-on-year to $18.9 billion in the calendar year 2023, according to a recent filing in the US. It is expected to gain momentum in the year 2024 too.
