According to Mr. Kaushal, the process of pretending can be tiring and that exactly would be what set the audience off. “Right now, the thing is that the audience can see trough it. How long can you keep the pretence on? A day? Two days? Four weeks? A year? And it”s a very tiring process also”, he said to Instant Bollywood.
He also emphasised the significance of being genuine in order for the audience to actually feel relatable. He said, “If you pretend to be someone you are not, that”s what they hate. If you are true to yourself, and that is what you present, nobody will have any complaints. That is what I believe. That is what as an audience member, always relate to. I don’t think about whether someone is middle class or not. If someone isn”t genuine, even if they are middle class person, then you can”t relate with them”.
