Comedian Vir Das fulfilled wishes of his fan who longs to see his performance. Elderly woman named Violet D”Souza Monis who loved Mr Das”s “wit and sarcasm” was never able to book his show”s tickets since it sold out quickly. On Monday, sharing a photo with Ms D”Souza comedian wrote on his Instagram that though it took four months to happen, promises are kept.
“Took 4 months. We finally met! Promises made I’ll see you at the next one ma’am. You were so kind to me, the things you said, you made my year. Thank you,” Mr Das wrote on Instagram.

Along with the photo, Mr Das shared a screenshot on his handle detailing the trajectory of their meeting.
Ms D”Souza once said on his post that she is an admirer of his work, “love your wit and sarcasm.” But she never got the opportunity to see him perform, since the tickets sold out fast. Being a senior and not a tech savvy making her difficult to book the tickets. She adds that “I do hope I can get to see your perform before I get too old to travel.”
The comment caught the attention of Mr Das and he replied that the next time, when he will be performing in her city, the tickets would be on him. He also asked someone from the team to make sure that it was done. To which lady thanked the comedian: “Vir Das, Thank you so much. I would love to meet you if possible. I”d be honoured. Your wit brings joy to my world. Stay blessed.”
Since this post has been shared, it gathered over 50,000 likes, and comments are flooding on his social media handle.
Ms D”Souza replied to the post and shared her experience of seeing him perform on stage. She said that she got the opportunity to see his show, which is part of MINDFOOL India tour as a guest. “You are the stuff legends are made of Mr VirDas and I wish you every success in you many many tours around the world,” Ms D” Souza wrote. In another comment, she added that it is one of the kindest gesture one can ever make to another human being, and said “Mr VirDas you are one of the most genuine people I’ve met.”
