As the International Emmy Award nomination list released, Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh and Vir Das secures nominations. On Tuesday, International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced 56 Nominees across 14 categories spanning over 20 countries.
Actress Shefali Shah nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress category for her performance in the Netflix drama series Delhi Crime 2. Earlier, first season of the show has bagged the “Best Drama Series” Award at the 48th International Emmys. Reacting to the news, Ms. Shah said in an official statement: “I can”t find the words to describe what I”m feeling. Delhi Crime is such a special project to me. While the first season of the show brought home the award in 2020, being nominated in the Best Actress category for Delhi Crime season two is just overwhelming,” HT reports.

Jim Sarbh has been nominated for the Best Performance by an Actor category for portraying Dr. Homi J. Bhabha in SonyLIV web series Rocket Boys. On the nomination, Mr. Sarbh said: “I’m overwhelmed and excited to be nominated under the best actor category at the International Emmy Awards for my portrayal of Dr Homi Bhabha in Rocket Boys. It is an honour to be recognised amongst such talented individuals from across the world,” as HT reports an official statement.

Comedian and actor Vir Das, on the other hand, has been nominated for Netflix special titled Vir Das: Landing. This is the second nomination for Mr. Das, and previously it was also for a Netflix special Vir Das: For India.

On top of that, Ektaa Kapoor will receive a prestigious International Emmy Directorate Award at the 51st International Emmy Awards Gala, which is going to take place on November 20, 2023, in New York City.
