Priyanka Gandhi Calls Delhi Air Pollution "Shocking" After Returning From Wayanad

New Delhi: Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi on Sunday, November 2, expressed her shock over the pollution level enveloping the national capital.

In a social media post, the Congress leader stated that returning to the Delhi air from Wayanad first, then Bachwara in Bihar was “truly shocking.”

The Wayanad MP said that the pollution enveloping Delhi is like a grey shroud thrown over it. “It’s really about time all of us get together regardless of our political compulsions and do something about it,” Priyanka Gandhi underlined.

She further urged that the central and state governments need to act immediately, assuring all support and cooperation with whatever actions the authorities choose to take to mitigate the “awful situation.”

“Year after year, the citizens of Delhi are subjected to this toxicity with no recourse. Those who suffer from respiratory issues, children who commute to school every day and senior citizens especially, need urgent intervention to clear the filthy smog we are all breathing,” Priyanka Gandhi wrote on X, while tagging Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta, Prime Minister Nerendra Modi and Union Environmental Minister Bhupender Yadav.
