Kerala’s ‘Zero Profit Anti-Cancer Medicine Counters' To Offer Upto 96% Discounts

Kerala today launched ‘Zero Profit Anti-Cancer Medicine Counters’ which will offer 26% to 96% discounts on around 250 branded oncology medicines in the state. As per an announcement by the state government, this facility will be made available through Karunya Pharmacies.

The scheme, by cutting out intermediaries, is expected to significantly reduce the treatment expenses as costly drugs will be made available at the lowest prices to cancer patients.

Kerala Chief Minister called the move a bold step in strengthening public healthcare,

”Zero Profit Anti-Cancer Medicine Counters’ inaugurated today will offer 26% to 96% discounts on around 250 branded oncology medicines in Kerala, through Karunya Pharmacies. Cutting out intermediaries, costly drugs will be made available at the lowest prices to cancer patients, significantly reducing treatment costs. A bold step in strengthening public healthcare!,” he said in a social media post.
