17-Year-Old Among The 10 Died Of Heart Attack At Garba Events In Gujarat; Hospitals Under Alert

At least 10 died in 24 hours at the garba events held in different parts of Gujarat, associated with the Navratri celebrations. The victims ranged from middle-aged people to teenagers. A 17-year-old is reportedly the youngest among the dead. Meanwhile, a 13-year-old was also died some time after returning from garba, and it is unclear whether the death has any connection with the heart attack deaths or not.

The hospitals and other security departments of the state are in high alert and the government asked the organisers of the events to consider all the necessary precautionary measures. Ambulances are also said to be placed near the event areas as an immediate evacuation could be done if people feel unwell.

As reported, the 17-year-old was attending a garba in the Kapadvanj town in Kheda district and he, identified as Veer Shah, felt unwell in a sudden with his nose bleeding. He was taken hospital and declared dead of a heart attack by the doctors.
