Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, the Mumbai-based business conglomerate, who is often in the news for inspiring youth, today expressed his appreciation for a girl who used AI technology to save her younger sister from monkeys. Sharing a video of the girl explaining the scenario, the auto-tractors firm”s chairman praised her “quick thinking” ability and said his company would be able to convince her to join them, noting her potential for leadership.

The girl named Nikita in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh describes how she saved herself and her younger sister using Alexa when the monkey entered their house. Nikita says as a few guests visited their home and left leaving the gate open, monkeys entered their kitchen and started throwing things around. As her sister got scared, the girl continues, she saw Alexa and asked it to play the sound of a dog. “Because of that barking sound, the monkeys were scared and ran away,” Nikita was heard saying in the video shared by the news agency ANI.

However, sharing the video on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Anand Mahindra wrote that the story of the young girl provides comfort that technology will always be an enabler of human ingenuity.

He also appreciated her quick thinking and said that the girl demonstrated a potential for leadership “in an entirely unpredictable world.”

Surprisingly, Anand Mahindra expressed his company’s readiness to hire the young girl if she decides to work in the corporate world after her education.

“The dominant question of our era is whether we will become slaves or masters of technology. The story of this young girl provides comfort that technology will always be an ENABLER of human ingenuity. Her quick thinking was extraordinary.  What she demonstrated was the potential for leadership in an entirely unpredictable world. After she finishes her education, If she ever decides to work in the corporate world I hope we at @MahindraRise will be able to convince her to join us!!,” the post reads.

Anand Mahindra had last month gifted a Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV to chess prodigy R Praggnanandhaa’s parents for the support they provided to their son in the game. In a post on X, he motivated parents to encourage games such as Chess that promote brain growth in their children.
