Banglore-based entrepreneur Anuradha Tiwari sparked outrage with her flexing muscle pose and the caption “Brahmin Genes”. “Hate against Brahmin is truly next level”, the Just Out Brust’s CEO added fuel to the controversy.

What made this post, a topic of discussion?

On August 22, Anuradha Tiwari shared a photograph that shows her flexing her muscles on X and captioned it as “Brahmin Genes”. So, this tweet of the TEDx speaker raised eyebrows, with netizens slamming Anuradha as a casteist and calling on her to do better. This tweet has received 1.3 million views just in one day. Notably Supreme Court advocate Shashank Ratnoo reacted to her tweet with his statement, “Precisely why casteism is still present! Being fit is good but attributing that to superior or specific genes is not the way to build one family one India,”

An X user also reminded her of Dr. Ambedkhar and his efforts to demolish caste discrimination “According to the Manusmruti, girls should stay at home all the time, take care of their husbands, and do nothing else. But because of the Constitution, you’re flexing your triceps on Twitter and living life your own way. So go ahead and thank Babasaheb Ambedkar for that!”. Other users mentioned her dress, as she was wearing shorts, and the references to Manusmriti, which leads to unnecessary issues as well.
