BJP retaliated to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah”s “neech (low)” comment on Food Corporation of India(FCI) going back on their words to supply food sale.
Siddaramaiah accused FCI for going back on its word to provide food grains upon central government’s involvement. He accused Modi government did it on purpose to deny Karnataka of rice for its “Anna Bhagya Scheme” which is one of Congress”s poll promises.
“FCI ensured us that there were rice stock and that they were willing to supply it. We believed it. The central government, however, made them change their decision. Are the BJP pro – poor? They are not”, said Siddaramaiah. He further added “How neech can they be?”
The BJP said Congress was trying to make false allegations to “hide its failure in the implementation of schemes it announced without proper planning and with the sole intent of gaining easy publicity”.
“Siddaramaiah and Congress have tried calling PM Modi “neech”. Since PM Modi comes from a poor background, Congress party is jealous of PM Modi. They think this belongs to Gandhi family”, said Union Minister Of Parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi. He further added that “The whole country is facing a Anna Bhagya Scheme situation. We have fewer stocks of rice. The price of rice is increasing…Many BJP – governed states are also demanding rice, but we do not have it right now”, he told ANI.
Mr. Joshi further added that the “neech” word used by the Congress is an example of their “Ghamand ( Arrogance)”.
