In a data breaching case, Chennai cybercrime police arrested five software engineers who stole their employer”s clientele to make use for their own company. The meticulous investigation led by the sleuth revealed a heinous crime of data breach perpetrated by software engineers based in Bengaluru, Chennai and Australia. The police have arrested Ramkumar, Kavya Vasanthkrishan, Ravitha Devasenapathy and S Karuppaiah.

It all started when a friend of Ramkumar, who was the owner of a software firm, approached him with a complaint that he had been denied access to his client data on the operating platform AWS, which is based in the US. AWS had given permission to change passwords to somebody else. Overwhelmed with fear of business being jeopardized he prompted Ramkumar for an immediate action.

The probe launched by the investigative team quickly led to a startling discovery that the thieves are on board. As soon as they checked the internet protocol address and other technical details of the place from where the server has been hacked, they realized that the crime was perpetrated by the employees themselves.

Late at night. when the collogues and the employer in deep sleep, a group of employees led by the company”s operations manager, Edison (29) were hacking the server in order to access the data. The culprits were living in Bengaluru and Chennai. They also received help from Australia.

The cops also realized that these persons tried to woo the customers of their employer offering their service at discounted price for their newly formed company “Blue Dawn. The three of the suspects were arrested. However the police were unable reach out the aid who is residing in Australia.

They are considering issuing a lookout notice to capture him with the help of Interpol.
