During the address, Chief Minister mentioned how deep-seated cyber crimes are and said that around Rs 22,812 crore of money all over India is lost to cyber criminals, making it a enormous threat to the Indian economy and citizens. He has also talked about the alarming circulation of fake news and misinformation and its impact on society. “Telangana government is committed to working with experts, and IT firms and to allocate resources to build an ecosystem for cybersecurity solutions,” he ascertained.
Continuing further, Reddy said that the Telangana should be developed as a secure business hub. Telangana is one among few states with fully operational cyber security bureau with a dedicated cyber helpline number 1930 working 24X7, he added.
The State government has launched seven new cybercrime police stations last year. Reddy stressed the importance of adopting comprehensive strategies to combat cybercrime; “Crime patterns are changing rapidly, and we must devise all necessary plans to counter them effectively,” Chief Minister said.

Reddy then emphasised that Telangana is leading the cybercrime control in the country but pointed out the need to strengthen the cybercrime wing further. “Prevention of the crime should be given top priority before the arrest of the criminals after they committed crime,” he said.
Taking place at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), the two-day conclave will conclude on Wednesday.
