Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut expressed her support for the women reservation bill which is expected to be passed during the current Parliament special session when she arrived at the newly inaugurated Parliament building today. While speaking to PTI from the parliament’s premises, she said “the government could have discussed any other issue or passed any other bill in Parliament, but they chose to prioritise women”s empowerment. I believe this is a very big statement”. Kangana credits Narendra Modi for taking initiative to pass the bill.
Kangana arrived at the Parliament as she was invited to attend a session as distinguished women invitee.
Soon after the cabinet’s clearance of the bill, she applauded the decision on her X handle. She said we are about to witness a new beginning of a new image. In the post, Kangana referred ‘India’ as ‘Bharat’, she wrote- ‘Welcome to the Bharat of our dreams’.
‘We are all witnessing beginning of a new age. Our time has come. This is the time of the girl child (no more female foeticide) this is the time of the young women (no more clinging to men for safety and security), this is the time of the Middle aged women (no you are not unwanted and won”t be devalued anymore) this is the time of the elderly women (the world needs your wisdom and experience as well, your time has come) Welcome to the new world. Welcome to the Bharat of our dreams”, Kangana posted.
Along with Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood actress Esha Gupta was also invited to the new parliament house and commented about the women reservation bill. She confirmed her presence in the politics in 2026 while speaking to ANI.
“It”s a beautiful thing that PM Modi has taken this step during the first session in the new Parliament. It”s a very progressive thought…I had thought of joining politics since childhood…Let”s see if this bill is passed, you will see me in 2026…”, Esha said.
Kangana Ranaut is now working on a new movie “Tejas”, where she appears as an Air Force Pilot. The movie revolves around the extraordinary journey of Tejas Gill an Air Force pilot, and aims to inspire and instil a deep sense of pride among people about valiant soldiers who tirelessly defend our nation, confronting numerous challenges along the way.
