The national capital is all set to host the 2023 G20 New Delhi Summit that is scheduled to commence on September 9.

It will be the eighteenth meeting of G20 and will be taking place in Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre in New Delhi”s Pragati Maidan.

“All arrangements have been made to receive G 20 guests”, informed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal through X (formerly Twitter).

Mr Kejriwal also appreciated the efforts of his cabinet ministers. “All ministers are themselves on the ground. Hon’ble LG himself has been leading the efforts”, he added.

This is the first ever G20 summit to be held in India as well as in South Asia.


“On the directions of CM, the health department have arranged everything necessary to engage in an emergency medical situation” said Saurabh Bharadwaj, Health-Urban Development Minister of Delhi Government.

10 normal rooms and an 8 bedded ICU has been arranged in the Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital to take care of the foreign guests. A special medical team of doctors are also deployed and 24 hour service ensured.

Health minister visited the hospital and verified all arrangements.

The G20 New Delhi Summit, which will be chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled on September 9 and 10.

India for the session is having the motto of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam translated as One Earth, One Family, One Future. It is derived from a famous ancient Sanskrit text, Maha Upanishad. Being a message for global unity, it is the best slogan for an international grouping.

In addition to the primary summit location, foreign delegates are also set to visit key venues of national capital like Rajghat, IARI Pusa, and NGMA (Jaipur House).

  • September 3-6: 4th Sherpa Meeting
  • Septemberr 5-6: Finance Deputies Meeting
  • September 6: Joint Sherpas and Finance Deputies Meeting
  • September 9 – 10: Meeting of Ministers at the G20 Summit
  • September 13-14: 4th Sustainable Finance Working Group Meeting in Varanasi
  • September 14 – 16: 4th Meeting for the Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion in Mumbai
  • September 18 – 19: 4th Framework Working Group Meeting in Raipur.
