Dharmasthala Case: SIT Summons Kerala Lorry Owner Manaf
Dharmasthala, Karnataka: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the mass burial case of Dharmasthala in Karnataka has issued a notice to a Kerala-based YouTuber, Manaf, in connection with the case. The youtuber, a Kozhikode native truck owner who came to the public limelight after the death of his Malayali truck driver Arjun a year ago in a landslide in Shirur, was directed to appear before the probe agency for interrogation on the matter.
Manaf is reportedly the chair of the action committee formed in connection with the mysterious deaths in Dharmasthala. He had also allegedly shot videos in Dharmasthala and posted them on social media before the formation of the probe team. The Kerala-based Youtuber has also reportedly shot videos during the search for the bodies in Dharmasthala and uploaded them on his channel, reported Varthabharati.

A year ago, when his driver disappeared in Shirur, Manaf had made constant interventions to search for Arjun, whose dead body was finally recovered from the nearby Gangavali River after several months of searching.
Notably, on Thursday, Belthangady police, armed with a search warrant had raided YouTuber Sameer M D’s house in Bannerghatta in Bengaluru. The search was to probe his alleged AI-generated video regarding mass rapes and murders in Dharmasthala, which was uploaded on his YouTube channel.

Officials had seized his computer and mobile phone used for creating the video, Decan Herald reported, citing sources.
The SIT, which was formed to probe the alleged mass burial of women with marks of rape and murder after a former sanitation worker of the temple town made explosive revelation, is now investigating the angle of potential conspiracy behind the complainant’s disclosure. The team had earlier found the complainant’s claims not true as the skeleton they received from the area could not substantiate his allegations.
The man had claimed that he himself had taken part in burial of over 100 dead bodies in the temple town. The officials are now investigating potential conspiracy behind all the claims and developments in connection with Dharmasthala case.
