Harassment By Neighbours, Man Kills Mother, Four Sisters In Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow witnessed a horrific crime on New Year’s Day, when a 24-year-old man murdered his mother and four sisters at Hotel Sharanjeet. The man, Mohammed Assad, hailing from Kuberpur in Agra, purportedly claimed that he killed his family to protect them from neighbours.
In a disturbing video, the accused blamed the residents of their locality for the extreme step he took against his family. The video showed the man claiming that the neighbors took their home and made them undergo several difficulties and atrocities. Arshad said he had no choice but to commit the crime, adding that despite raising voices, no one listened.

The man said that despite having valid documents, his family was accused of being Bangladeshi immigrants, adding that the neighbours were conspiring to sell his sisters by framing false cases. He also named some of the harassers in the video, while revealing his frustration towards the police and politicians for the alleged lack of support when they were facing the trouble.
Admitting the crime, Arsad further alleged that the residents in the locality were abducting and selling poor girls, claiming that they bribed police officers to avoid accountability.
“These people snatched our house. For the last 10-15 days I and my family along with little children are staying on the footpath, braving the biting winter,” the man has heard saying in the video

Asad killed his family members with the help of his father. Reacting to the situation, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central Raveena Tyagi told IANS that they received information from the Thana Naka area that five dead bodies were found in a room at Hotel Sharanjeet. The accused killed the victim by slitting their throats, and he also confessed to the crime, according to police. “The victims were identified as Alia (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16), Rahmeen (18), and their mother, Asma,” The Free Press Journal reported, citing police.
During the confession, the accused said that the family was first taken to Ajmer and then brought to Lucknow a day before the chilling crime. He said he initially killed his mother and then attacked his sisters when they were sleeping in the hotel room. The incident came to public notice when the hotel management informed the police after they discovered the dead bodies of the victims.
However, police have been probing the exact detail and motive of the crime, and further details can be revealed after a detailed investigation and post-mortem.
