Mumbai Police Arrest 2 Men In Connection With Shooting Incident At Salman Khan's Home

The Mumbai police have arrested two suspects in connection with the gunfire incident outside actor Salman Khan”s home in the city. Vicky Sahab Gupta and Sagar Shrijogendra Pal, natives of Bihar, were picked up from Gujarat”s Bhuj last evening. Acting on a tip-off, the police found the accused hiding in a temple in Bhuj.

The assailants, riding a motorcycle, had fired four rounds outside Bandra”s Galaxy Apartments, where the actor resides, around 5 am on Sunday, before making escaping. Surveillance footage revealed both perpetrators wearing caps and carrying backpacks.

Authorities disclosed that the accused had bought a pre-owned motorcycle from to reach Khan”s residence, travelling from Panvel, where they had rented accommodations for a month.

The motorcycle used in the incident, abandoned near Mount Mary Church, approximately one kilometer from Khan”s residence, was traced back to a resident of Panvel in Navi Mumbai who recently sold the vehicle.

Both of them are part of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, police sources said. Bishno is currently in Delhi’s Tihar Jail for various high-profile crimes, including the murders of musician Sidhu Moosewala and Rajput leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.

Soon after the shooting, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility in an online statement, calling it as a “preview” for the actor.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reached out to Khan assuring support and a commitment to upholding the rule of law. Security personnel assigned to Salman Khan have been augmented following the incident, with the actor advised to notify Mumbai Police before leaving his residence and encouraged to remain indoors unless absolutely necessary.
