Nationalist Congress Party (NCP – Sharad Pawar) Working President, Supriya Sule on Friday, dubbed ruling BJP as “anti-women party.” Her remark was in response to Trinamool Congress Supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee“s comments concerning BJP”s plan to remove TMC MP Mahua Moitra from the Lok Sabha.

Talking to ANI, NCP MP said: “It”s a fact that BJP is a party which is very anti-women so I”m not surprised with what they have done. . . .”

She then added, “I”m really proud of Mamata Banerjee, she is a tall leader of India. We all look up to her and I know she”s a fighter, she”s not only a survivor but she”s a winner.”

Recently, NCP MP has also came in support of of their ally in INDIA bloc grouping, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, when Election Commission of India (ECI) served a show cause notice over his comment against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an election rally in Rajasthan.

After prolonged silence, Mamata Banerjee talked about the cash-for-query controversy surrounding TMC MP Mahua Moitra, and chances of her expulsion from Lok Sabha. Addressing an event in Kolkata, TMC supremo said that it will advance her chances in the general election next year.

“Mahua Moitra”s expulsion from Lok Sabha is being planned. But this will help her before the election. They have planned to chase out Mahua. She will become popular for three months. What she said inside she will say outside. She will hold press conferences every day. What does she lose?,” Mamata Banerjeee said.

The Lok Sabha Ethics Committee submitted their enquiry report on Mahua Moitra pertaining to the cash-for-query row to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and he has to take the final decision.
