Nitish Kumar To Remain Chief Minister Of Bihar; Cabinet Finalised After NDA's Massive Victory

Patna, Bihar: Nitish Kumar will remain the Chief Minister of Bihar, after NDA’s massive victory in the 2025 assembly elections. The new government will be formed in three days after the cabinet formula was finalized at a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently. The JDU-BJP alliance swept the poll, with the saffron party accumulating 89 seats while the Nitish Kumar-led party secured 85 seats.

Though they performed better than in the 2020 assembly elections, the BJP became the single largest party with the majority of seats. The RJD-Congress alliance witnessed an electoral debacle, with the former receiving 25 seats and the latter only six seats.
