"Return Our Votes And Take The Money": Bihar Women On Notice To Give Rs 10,000 Back
Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, the Nitish Kumar government distributed Rs 10,000 to each woman under the CM Mahila Rojgar Yojana. The money was sent to the bank account of the women beneficiaries during the Bihar elections. The money was considered a political bait to lure women voters in Bihar by the critics and the opposition.
However, now the women of Bihar are asking the newly formed government to give their votes back after they had received notice to return the money. As per the notice, the money was sent to the women’s account due to technical glitches, and now they have been asked to return Rs 10,000.
So apparently, due to technical glitch, men received ₹10,000 under CM Mahila Rojgar Yojana in Bihar. The money (a gamechanger) was sent to the account of women beneficiaries ahead of Bihar elections. The Bihar women looks irked after the demand to return the money. In a video which went viral on social media, the reproter from a local news chennel of Bihar asked women about the notice. One woman told that they have spent the money and can not return it back now. Another women who also received the money ahead of the assembly elections expressed anger and called the money a political gimmick to stash away the women votes.
“From where we will bring Rs 10,000. We did not ask them to give money to us and now they are asking it back. We have already spent the money”, the women said. “If the government want the money back they must return our votes first”, she added.
