Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and neighbouring areas on Monday, November 6. The national capital is witnessing the tremors for the second time in the last three days. Earlier on November 3, tremors were felt in Delhi and neighbouring areas as an earthquake of 6.4 magnitude struck Nepal at a depth of 10 km.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremors were felt in Delhi as a result of a 5.6-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal today. “Earthquake of Magnitude:5.6, Occurred on 06-11-2023, 16:16:40 IST, Lat: 28.89 & Long: 82.36, Depth: 10 Km ,Region: Nepal,” wrote NCS on its X handle. The agency also stated that the epicentre of the quake was 233 kilometres north of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
More than 150 people have been killed in the earthquake that struck the remote western regions of Nepal on November 3. Three more tremors were also felt within an hour of the massive quake. Ramidanda in Jajarkot district, which is about 550 km from Kathmandu, was the epicentre of Friday’s earthquake. Nepal witnessed the deadliest earthquake on April 25, 2015. Around 9,000 people were killed and over 100,000 were injured in the 7.6-magnitude earthquake.
