Student Kills Classmate Inside Classroom, Then Shoots Himself In Punjab
A shocking shooting incident unfolded at a college in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district on Monday, where a student allegedly shot his female classmate dead inside a classroom before turning the gun on himself.
The entire incident was captured on the college’s CCTV camera, police officials told India Today.
The shooting took place at Mai Bhago Law College in Usma village, just as classes were about to begin for the day.
According to police, the accused student has been identified as Prince Raj, a resident of Mallian village. The victim, Sandeep Kaur, was a student from Naushehra Pannuan.
Sandeep Kaur died on the spot after being shot, while Prince Raj sustained a critical gunshot injury and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, a senior police official confirmed to India Today.
CCTV footage from inside the classroom shows Prince Raj entering the room with a bag slung over his back. He is seen approaching Sandeep Kaur and another woman student, briefly speaking to them.

The three later move to seats at the back of the classroom and continue their conversation. Moments later, Prince Raj is seen standing up abruptly, opening his bag with his back turned to the two women.
He then pulls out a firearm, turns around, and shoots Sandeep Kaur at close range. She collapses to the floor immediately. The footage further shows Prince Raj placing the gun to his own temple and firing, after which he falls to the ground.
The other student can be seen recoiling in shock, while several students panic and rush out of the classroom following the gunshots.
Senior police officials told India Today that the motive behind the shooting is not yet known. CCTV footage from the campus is being closely examined as part of the investigation.

Sandeep Kaur’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further details are awaited.
Sandeep Kaur’s mother questioned how Prince Raj was able to enter the college premises with a firearm. She demanded strict action and accountability over the apparent security lapse.
