Teacher In UP School Asks Students To Slap Muslim Boy, They Listen

A horrifying video is viral on social media in which a teacher from a private school in Uttar Pradesh”s Muzaffarnagar is seen asking students to slap a Muslim boy, and the children follow the teacher”s orders.

In the video, the teacher refers to the child”s Muslim faith, and talks disparagingly about “Mohammedan children”. The police said in a statement that they have taken cognisance of the viral video in which the teacher is getting some school students to hit a classmate for not learning Mathematics tables.

The incident, according to reports, took place on Thursday in Khubbapur village, which is under the jurisdiction of Mansurpur police station in Muzaffarnagar district. Both the police and the education authorities are investigating the matter and considering taking action against the teacher, Tripta Tyagi, and Neha Public School where the incident happened. Ms Tyagi owns Neha Public School.

“We have taken cognisance of a viral video where a woman teacher is getting some school students to hit a classmate for not learning Mathematics tables. We have also spoken to the school principal about the objectionable comment in the video,” Superintendent of Police Satyanarayan Prajapat said in a statement, reported NDTV.

“The teacher said the mothers of Muslim children who do not pay attention to studies of their wards are responsible for their academic decline. We have informed the basic education officer and action will be taken against the teacher,” the police officer said in the statement.

The child”s father said he will not press charges as they reached a compromise with the school authorities. He added that he has decided not to send his child to Neha Public School anymore.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reacted to the incident and said “Sowing the poison of discrimination in the minds of innocent children, turning a holy place like school into a marketplace of hatred – nothing worse a teacher can do for the country.”

“This is the same kerosene spread by the BJP which has set every corner of India on fire. Children are the future of India – do not hate them, we all have to teach love together,” the Congress MP added.
