Himachal Pradesh: The Himachal CID is swamped with a puzzling mystery at their hands. A five-star hotel order meant for Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu ended up missing, launching a probe on the missing items. The mystery in question being the case of missing samosas.
On October 21, at least three boxes of samosas were brought from Hotel Radisson Blue as a refreshment set to be served to Sukhu, who visited the CID headquarters to attend an event. Alas, the samosas and cake meant for CM Sukhu ended up being served to his security staff. Reportedly, a CID probe has termed the incident “anti-government.”

According to a high-ranking CID official, those responsible acted according to their agenda.
As per reports, show-cause notices have been slapped against five police personnel over the incident; they are under the process of recording their final statements. Reportedly, strict disciplinary action has been recommended against the five officials.
Meanwhile, the opposition BJP attacked the Congress government in the state and said that the administration under Sukhu was more concerned about “Chief Minister’s Samosa” and not the state.

“This incident has become a topic of discussion in the political circles of Himachal Pradesh. In fact, the government machinery is embarrassed due to such coordination problems in a program related to a VVIP like the chief minister,” said BJP chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma, as quoted by The New Indian Express.
However, officials have rejected the claims of an official probe. They stated that it was an “internal matter” being blown out of proportion, reported India Today.
