The UP Police examination which aims to fill 60,244 vacancies has started on August 23 and will continue till August 31, 2024. The examination is being held in two shifts at 1,174 centres in 67 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

UP Police Constable 2024: Admit Cards Are Out For August 30 Exam

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released hall tickets for the Constable Recruitment Examination  2024 scheduled for August 30, 2024. Candidates can check the official website – uppbpb.gov.in using their registration number and date of birth. The admit cards for examination on August 31 are expected to be released on August 27.

The UP Police examination which aims to fill 60,244 vacancies has started on August 23 and will continue till August 31, 2024. The examination is being held in two shifts at 1,174 centres in 67 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The examination is an OMR-based written test for direct recruitment to the posts of UP constable.

Reportedly, on the first day of the examination held on August 23, a total of 79.11 percent of candidates appeared for the test. A total of 3,21,256 candidates and 3,27,167 candidates appeared for the examination in the first and second shifts respectively on the first day.

For 60,244 constable posts, a total of 48,17,441 candidates have applied under various categories.

Notably, the examination was earlier scheduled in February but was cancelled amid the alleged reports of paper leak. This time the UPPPRB has released a set of crucial guidelines for candidates to ensure a fair and smooth examination process.

Candidates must bring the admit card wil other forms of identification proofs including Aadhaar card, driving licence or passport. It is mandatory for the candidates to be present at the centre at least two hours before the commencement of the examination. Strict legal actions will be taken against those who found indulging in any wrongfull activity.

To assist candidates, UP State Transport Corporation has made special provision of free bus services including electric buses in several districts.
