'Wrong Policies Of PM Modi Behind 25 Crore Over-aged Unemloyed Youth': Tejashwi Yadav
Former deputy chief minister of Bihar and the son of veteran leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav has been vocal about the issues to youth in this election season. Tejashwi is frequently seen talking about the high rate of unemployment, paper leaks in the competitive exams, and the existing corruption in the job sector amid the Lok Sabha election of 2024. Tejashwi has targeted the ruling BJP government and PM Narendra Modi”s policies by saying them as wrong. As per the former deputy chief minister, PM Modi”s policies have remained unsuccessful in creating enough opportunities for the youth.
While talking to the media Tejashwi Yadav said that over 25 crore youth have become overaged and unemployed due to the wrong policies of PM Modi as no new vacancies are coming out. “Due to the wrong policies of Prime Minister Modi 25 crore youth are unemployed after becoming over-aged”, he said.

Targeting the PM Modi, Tejashwi said that PM has also become overaged and should join the “Margdarshak Mandali” which he created for the BJP leaders who have attained the age of 75 and are retired.
He also criticised the much denounced Agniveer Yojna which forces the army personnel to retire after four years of service. Yadav questioned the provision made for the youth after the retirement from Agniveer. “What a youth will do after retiring under the Agniveer at the age of 22 which makes it worrisome”, said Tejashwi.
“If they are forcibly retiring Agniveer at the age of 22 years, then I hope they will follow their own policy, rules and principles of retiring PM at 75 years”, Tejashwi Yadav attacked on PM Modi.
Notably, Margdarshak Mandal is a panel of very eminent leaders to guide the BJP party leadership. The role of the panel is advisory in nature. In 2014, eminent veteran leaders including LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee were nominated to be the part of Margardarshak Mandal. However, the decision was criticised by the political lobby and general public by considering it has led to the complete domination of PM Narendra Modi in all nook and corner of the BJP party.
Whereas Agnipath Yojna which was introduced in 2022 by the central government which provides defence service to youth only for 4 years was criticised for the lack of future security and being short term. During the current Lok Sabha election 2024, the Congress party (INC) has promised to remove Agnipath Yojna in its manifesto and will restore the old recruitment scheme.
