2 Trainee Girls Found Dead In Hanging Incident At Kerala's Kollam SAI Hostel
Kollam, Kerala: Two trainee girls from Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, respectively, were found dead hanging from ceiling fans at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) hostel in Kerala’s Kollam on Thursday, January 15.
After the girls did not report for training, the hostel authorities checked their room. As the officials’ calls repeatedly went unanswered, the staff opened the door with force and found both hanging. The victim has been identified as Sandra, 17, from Kozhikode, and Vyshnavi, 15, from Thiruvananthapuram.

Police have found no suicide note at the scene, and the reason for the deaths remains unclear at this time. Fellow trainees has reported that they have seen the two girls together late into the previous night. Polie have launched a detailed probe into the incident.
While one girl studying in Class 12, was training for athletics, the other, a Class 10 student, was a kabaddi player. According to police, Vyshnavi, who normally stayed in a different room, had chosen to spend Wednesday night in Sandra’s room.
