BEVCO To Open Super Premium Liquor Shop In Kozhikode's Gokulam Mall
The Kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) is all set to open a Super Premium liquor outlet in Kozhikode on December 23, 2025.
The new outlet will come up at Gokulam Galleria Mall, Kozhikode, and is expected to offer a modern and premium shopping experience for customers.
The super premium shop, branded as “High Spirits – A BEVCO Boutique”, will be officially inaugurated by Smt. Harshita Attaluri IPS, Managing Director of the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC).
The Kozhikode outlet is being opened as part of BEVCO’s larger plan to launch super premium liquor shops in four major locations across Kerala: Thrissur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, and Kumarakom.
The first super premium beverage outlet of BEVCO was opened in Thrissur on August 7. This marked the launch of BEVCO’s super premium retail model in Kerala, which is now being expanded to other districts.

These outlets are designed to cater to customers looking for high-end and international liquor brands in a clean, organised, and boutique-style environment.
According to BEVCO officials, the super premium shops will sell a wide range of alcoholic beverages, including Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), foreign-made foreign liquor (FMFL), as well as beer and wine.
The Kerala State Beverages Corporation has also announced plans to expand super premium outlets to more districts in the next phase. Officials said the new format has received a positive response and is aimed at upgrading liquor retail standards in the state.
Liquor companies will be allowed to showcase their products in these outlets by paying a rental fee for display space. This is expected to help customers explore premium brands more easily while ensuring better presentation of products.

Meanwhile, BEVCO is also working on changes in how buildings are rented for liquor outlets. The corporation has been reaching out to property owners across Kerala who are interested in renting their buildings directly for BEVCO shops.
Officials said that rental prices for some properties have been highly inflated, with some landlords demanding rents several times higher than normal. There have also been allegations that middlemen and certain officials benefit from these inflated rents.
To address this issue, BEVCO plans to roll out an online platform where property owners can directly offer their buildings for liquor outlets. This move is aimed at cutting out middlemen, reducing rent inflation, and keeping information about new outlets confidential until their official opening.
