Kozhikode: Senior Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader and Koduvally MLA Dr. MK Muneer was admitted to Meitra Hospital in Kozhikode on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest triggered by hypokalemia, a dangerously low level of potassium in the blood.
According to hospital sources, the swift intervention of a multi-disciplinary medical team proved crucial in saving Dr. Muneer’s life. He is currently undergoing treatment in the critical care unit.
While his condition remains serious, hospital authorities confirmed that he is stable and responding positively to treatment.
