Kerala Assembly Elections: BJP Considers Actor Unni Mukundan In Palakkad, Says Report

Palakkad, Kerala: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reportedly considered actor Unni Mukundan for the upcoming Kerala assembly elections for the Palakkad constituency. The party has analyzed that the actor has the potential to woo voters in the seat which it lost by a few margins during the 2021 assembly elections.

The saffron party is determined to secure Palakkad and eying for a strong candidate to challenge the dominant fronts in the state. Apart from Unni Mukundan, the BJP is also considering R Sreelekha, and Major Ravi for the Palakkad seat.

The BJP has carried out an extensive internal survey ahead of candidate selection, which has revealed the popular figures for the potential constituencies, suggesting names that could significantly strengthen the BJP’s prospects in Palakkad.

As per the survey, Unni Mukundan had a high probability of securing victory in the Palakkad constituency.
