Kozhikode Court Orders FIR Against Arif Hussain For Defaming XandY Learning Startup With Terror Allegations
Kozhikode, Kerala: A court in Kerala’s Kozhikode has ordered the state police to register an FIR against ex-Muslim and self-proclaimed zionist activist Arif Hussain Theruvath over allegations that he falsely linked education startup XandY Learning to terrorism.
The court directed the Pantheerankavu Police to lodge a case against Hussain for carrying out hate campaign against the institution through social media posts.
XandY Learning had filed a complaint, alleging that Arif Hussain shared Facebook posts falsely claiming that the institution was linked with Al-Falah University, and that suggested that it promoted extremist or terrorist activities. It also pointed out that Hussain targeted a prominent doctor who had attended one of its student-parent meetings as a guest speaker, abusing him, accusing him of terrorism, and using the allegations to defame both the doctor and the startup.
The complaint cited Hussain’s post in which he called XandY Learning as a “jihadi” outfit, alleging that the institution is engaged in white-collar jihad, while urging state police and state and union government to conduct probe against the institution.
The complaint further pointed out despite the program being attended by former IPS officer Rishiraj Singh and journalist Babu Ramachandran, the guest speaker was singled out for attack.
