
Reinvent Malabar Growth Stories Event Today At Calicut; Minister P Rajeev To Inaugurate
Kozhikode, July 29, 2025: The city of Kozhikode is set to host a major entrepreneurial gathering this evening with the Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) presenting its flagship event, “Reinvent Malabar: Growth Stories”, at Malabar Palace. The event, focused on promoting local entrepreneurial journeys and business reinvention, will be inaugurated by P Rajeev, the Kerala Minister for Law, Industries and Coir.
The programme aims to spotlight the resilience and innovation of Malabar’s business community, as per a communication from the organisers. In this “Reinvent Malabar: Growth Stories” event, entrepreneurs will share real-life stories of success, failure, and rebirth—highlighting how digital transformation, succession planning, and sustainable growth are reshaping local businesses.
The event will begin with the introduction to Reinvent Malabar: Growth Stories by Anil Balan, followed by an address by Guest of Honour Faizal Kottikollon, with Prof. Saji Gopinath of IIM Kozhikode serving as the moderator, and the inaugural function commencing with a welcome speech by Babu Maliyakkal while Eshaque Kalathingal, Chairman of KSSIA, will give the presidential address.
The keynote inaugural address will be delivered by Minister P Rajeev, followed by a special address by APM Mohammed Hanish IAS, Principal Secretary for Industries.
Among other dignitaries to attend are VKC Mammed Koya, former MLA and event patron, and A Nizarudeen, State President of KSSIA.
The event will also honour industry leaders newly appointed to key positions, including VKC Razak, Chairman of CII Kerala, and Anil Balan, Vice Chairman of CII North Kerala.
Felicitations will be delivered by a host of industrial and chamber representatives including Ranjith Babu, GM of DIC Kozhikode; Nityanand Kamath, President of the Malabar Chamber of Commerce; and Sajal Mohammed TPM, Chairman of CII North Kerala Council, among others.
The evening will conclude with a vote of thanks by Arun Kumar P, Secretary of KSSIA Kozhikode, followed by dinner.
The event is seen as a strategic step towards strengthening Kerala’s industrial base, especially in the Malabar region.
