As per the reports, Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna, has fled the country even before the Karnataka government ordered to form a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate into the sex scandal involving Hassan MP. The investigation team will be headed by ADGP BK Singh, including Assistant IGP Suman D Pennekar and Mysore SP Seema Latkar. All complaints against Hassan MP will be transferred to the probe team.

According to reports, Prajwal Revanna left for Germany on Saturday morning from Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, the women”s wing of the Congress staged protest at Bengaluru demanding the immediate arrest of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna. The news about his absconding has created uproar in the social media as well.

TMC MP Sagarika Ghose on her X handle remarked that it is a shameful incident for BJP. “Yet another shameful incident for @BJP4India. BJP ally Deve Gowda’s grandson JD (S) MP P. Revanna now caught in a sex scandal. Reports say Revanna flees country in an obscene video case. Of course he is “sanskari” ally of @BJP4India so will anyone touch him? Shame!,” Sagarika Ghose tweeted.

Referring the scandal, Alt News co-founder and fact checker Muhammed Zubair condemned that there is “Pin drop silence from Chairperson of National Commission for Women @sharmarekha, ANI @smitaprakash, and other News Anchors.”

Manisha Pande, Managing Editor at Newslaundry remarked on her X handle that the case is “disturbing”. Commenting Prajwal Revanna fleeing the country as Chief Minister orders SIT investigation, she called “What a mockery”. Meanwhile, journalist Rohini Singh referred it as “outrageous”. Continuing further, she wrote on X, “Why are Noida channels silent on the Sandeshkhali of Karnataka?”

Meanwhile, denying sexual assault allegations, Prajwal’s camp called the videos ‘morphed’. Hassan Lok Sabha constituency went to polls on April 26 in the second phase of the general elections.
