In the Lok Sabha polls, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has given five seats to Yadav community. They are Akhilesh Yadav from Kannauj, Dimple Yadav from Mainpuri, Dharmendra Yadav from Azamgarh, Akshay Yadav from Firozabad, and Aditya Yadav from Badaun.

Akhilesh Yadav from Kannauj
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is leading by 71154 votes in Kannauj where BJP’s Subrat Pathak is trailing.
Kannauj has been a stronghold of the Yadavs since 1998, and lost the seat only in 2019. It was Subrat Pathak who defeated Akhilesh Yadav”s spouse Dimple Yadav then. Dimple was the incumbent Member of Parliament from Kannauj and was defeated with a margin of 12,353 votes. Subrat, for wresting the constituency, was called a giant slayer for the result.
Dimple Yadav From Mainpuri
Incumbent MP and Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav, is leading by 100872 votes while, BJP’s Jayveer Singh is trailing behind.
In 2019 Lok Sabha election, Mulam Singh Yadav won the Mainpuri by defeating BJP candidate Prem Singh Shakya by a margin of 94,000 votes. After his demise, a by-poll was conducted in 2022, wherein Yadav’s daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav secured victory by garnering over 6 lakh votes.
Dharmendra Yadav From Azamgarh
Dharmendra Yadav, a former MP and cousin of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav is leading with 71950 votes while sitting BJP MP Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ is trailing behind.
In 2019 elections, Akhilesh Yadav won Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat by garnering over 6 lakh votes. However, in 2022 a by-poll contested in the constituency when SP chief vacated the seat for Karhal assembly seat, and in the election Bhojpuri actor and BJP candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua defeated Dharmendra Yadav.
Akshay Yadav From Firozabad
Akshay Yadav, nephew of Mulayam Singh Yadav, is leading by 64914 votes while BJP’s Vishwadeep Singh is trailing behind.
Akshay Yadav is the son of SP secretary general Ram Gopal Yadav. In 2019 elections, though a sitting MP, Akshay failed to retain the seat and he lost the seat to BJP’s Dr Chandra Sen Jadon by a margin of 28781 votes.
Aditya Yadav From Badaun
Among all the five family members, Aditya Yadav’s position in Badaun is not good. Aditya is trailing behind BJP candidate Durvijay Singh Shakya by 19581 votes.
Aditya Yadav is the son of Mulayam Singh’s brother and Jaswantnagar MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav. Aditya Yadav is entrusted with the responsibility to reclaim the SP stronghold, Badaun constituency. In 2019 BJP candidate Dr Sanghmitra Maurya won the seat by defeating SP’s Dharmendra Yadav by a margin of 18454 votes.
