INDIA Alliance Meeting: Resolution Passed, Forms 14 Member Coordination Panel (image-www.twitter/congress)
After the meeting of the Opposition INDIA alliance, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Friday said that a resolution has been passed and four main committees have been formed.
The four committees were formed in which members of all the parties were included.
The 14- member Coordination Committee and Election Strategy Committee includes KC Venugopal (INC), Sharad Pawar (NCP), TR Baalu (DMK), Hemant Soren (JMM), Sanjay Raut (SS-UBT), Tejashwi Yadav (RJD), Abhishek Banerjee (TMC), Raghav Chadha (AAP), Javed Ali Khan (SP), Lalan Singh (JDU), D Raja (CPI), Omar Abdullah (NC), Mehbooba Mufti (PDP), one more member from CPI(M) to also be announced.
The leader of the coordination panel has not yet been announced.
During the meeting on Friday, all the constituent parties of INDIA alliance have decided to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha election together “as far as possible”. They have also decided in the resolution to organize public rallies at the earliest in different parts of the country on issues of public concern and importance.
Seat-sharing arrangements in different states will be initiated immediately, the resolution also said.
The INDIA alliance’s campaign committee has 19 members — Gurdeep Singh Sappal (Congress), Sanjay Jha (JDU), Anil Desai, PC Chako (NCP), Champai Soren (JMM), Kiranmoy Nanda (SP), Sanjay Singh (AAP), Sanjay Yadav (RJD), Arun Kumar (CPIM), Binoy Vishwam (CPI), Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi (NC), Shahid Siddiqui (RLD), NK Premachandran (RSP) G. Devarajan (AIFB) and others.
INDIA alliance’s Working Group for Social Media has – Supriya Shrinate (Congress), Sumit Sharma (RJD), Ashish Yadav (SP), Rajeev Nigam (SP), Raghav Chaddha (AAP), Avindani (JMM), Iltija Mehbooba (PDP) Pranjal (CPM), Bhalchandran Kango (CPI), Ifra Ja (NC), V Arun Kumar, (CPIM). The Trinamool Congress will announce a name later.
INDIA alliance’s Working Group for Research has — Sh. Amitabh Dubey, (INC), Prof. Subodh Mehta (RJD). Priyanka Chaturvedi, (SS),Vandana Chavan( NCP), KC Tyagi (JD(U)), Sudivya Kumar Sonu (JMM), Jasmine Shah( AAP), Alok Ranjan ( SP) ,Sh. Imran Nabi Dar(NC) ,Ad. Aditya (PDP). The Trinamool Congress will announce a name later.
The third formal meeting of the opposition bloc INDIA began on Friday with an aim of coming up with an action plan for the next Lok Sabha Polls.
The first meeting of the joint opposition convened in Patna on June 23 and the second meeting was held in Bengaluru on July 17-18.
