In the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha election in 96 constituencies, across nine states and a Union Territory, the approximate voter turnout data till 11:45 pm was 67.25%. Andhra Pradesh and Odisha are also holding elections to their state assemblies simultaneously.

“Polling in the fourth phase of General Elections recorded an approximate voter turnout of 67.25% as of 11:45 pm. The same shall continue to be updated by the field level officers as polling parties keep returning and will be available PC wise (along with respective AC segments) live at VTR App, as was the case in earlier phases,” the Election Commission said in a statement.

The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha election begins today. Polling will be held in all 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, all 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh, 13 in Uttar Pradesh, five in Bihar, four in Jharkhand, eight in Madhya Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, four in Odisha, eight in West Bengal and one in Jammu and Kashmir. The voting is held across 96 Parliamentary constituencies.

The polling began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm across all Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies.

6:25 PM, May 13, 2024: A voter turnout of 62.31% has been registered as of 5 pm. West Bengal registered the highest voter turnout (75.66%), followed by Andhra Pradesh (68.04%), Madhya Pradesh (68.01%), Jharkhand (63.14%), Odisha (62.96%) and Telangana (61.16%). Jammu and Kashmir registered the lowest voter turnout with 35.75%.

Other states such as Uttar Pradesh (56.35%), Bihar (54.14%) and Maharashtra (52.49%).

11:43 AM, May 13, 2024: The voters turnout recorded till 11 am is 24.87 %. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh records 23.00% voter turnout till 11 am in the elections to its State Legislative Assembly. Odisha records 23.28% voter turnout till 11 am in the first phase elections to its State Legislative Assembly.

9:47 AM, May 13, 2024: Oscar winning music composer and Padma Shri awardee, MM Keeravani casted his vote at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. “You have to vote because you are in democracy..,” he said.
