Despite various exit poll predicting a clear win for the Bharatiya Janata Party, the vote count reveals a clear victory for the Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA). It is close contest between INDIA and NDA alliance. INDIA bloc is leading with 29 seats while NDA with 18 seats in Maharashtra.

Counting of the ballot votes in Maharashtra has given an early trend of INDIA bloc leading in 24 seats, while BJP led- NDA leading in 19 seats.

Maharashtra Lok Sabha constituencies voted in five phases to elect 48 members to the Parliament. The results of the 542 seats of the Parliament will be announced today. The major parties that are prevalent in the state are Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena, Shiv Sena (UBT), Nationalist Congress Party, Nationalist Congress Party (SP) and Indian National Congress. Voting was held on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, and May 20.

As per the Election Commission, the total voters turn out from the state is 61.29%. The results today will decide the fate of the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA alliance and the Eknath Shinde-NDA alliance. It is the second highest after Uttar Pradesh with 48 constituencies. This is the first big election after the BJP engineered split of Shiv Sena in 2022.
