Lok Sabha Election Results 2024:TMC's Kalyan Banerjee Takes A Clean Sweep In Srerampur

All India Trinamool Congress candidate Kalyan Banerjee has won the Lok Sabha Election 2024 from the Srerampur Lok Sabha constituency with a total of 1,74,830 vote margin. BJP candidate Kabir Shankar Bose was declared the runner-up candidate in the Srerampur constituency by the Election Commission.

Kalyan Banerjee is a three-time MP from Srerampur. An advocate by profession, Kalyan has represented several TMC cases in the state. The TMC candidate has maintained his winning streak in the past elections. Since 2009, the TMC candidate Kalyan Banerjee has won the Srerampur Lok Sabha constituency. In 2019, Kalyan Banerjee secured 45.50% votes and BJP candidate Debjit Sarkar got 38.47% votes. CPI (M) candidate Tirthankar Roy secured 10.8% votes.

In 2014, Kalyan Banerjee received 39.90% votes and CPI (M) candidate Tirthankar Roy secured the second position with 28.08% votes. While BJP candidate Bappi Lahiri got 22.29 percent votes and remained third in the 2014 polls.

In 2009, the TMC candidate Kalyan Banerjee won the Srerampur seat with 53.48% votes and the CPI (M) candidate was in second position with 39.99 percent votes.

The TMC vote share in the Srerampur Lok Sabha constituency remained intact in the past few elections and the chances were high that Kalyan Banerjee would secure the fourth term in the lower house.
