Lok Sabha Poll: Major Reshuffle In Congress, Sachin Pilots Replaces Priyanka Gandhi

In a major reshuffle ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, Avinash Pande has been appointed as Congress General Secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh, replacing Priyanka Gandhi. In the fresh reshuffle, Sachin Pilot has got a key role as Congress General Secretary in charge of Chhattisgarh.

The party is seen making overhauls following the massive defeat in the recently held assembly elections in several states. Priyanka Gandhi has no assigned portfolio in the new list, in which the congress president assigned organizational responsibilities to leaders across the state.

At a meeting of the INDIA alliance recently, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had proposed Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge as the prime ministerial candidate for the 2024 Lob Sabha election.
