V Vaseef, The Young Face Of CPM From Malappuram (facebook image@ V Vaseef)
The Communist Party Of India (Marxist) has fielded strongest independent candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. The party has given ticket to DYFI (Democratic Youth Foundation of India) State President V Vaseef from Malappuram constituency.
Vaseef is a native of Kodiathur of Kozhikode district. He has long-standing ties with the ideologies if the Communist Party since his childhood. CPI (M) is traying to instill the idea of fresh momentum among the youth and party members by placing young candidates.
Vaseef has come to the forefront of Politics through Bala Sangham activities. Starting as the area president of the Bala Sangham, he started climbing the steps. He was elected as the president of DYFI during a state conference at Pathanamthitta in 2022.
He has served as Union Chairman at Calicut University, while studying for his M.ED, He was also SFI District President and State Committee Member. Vaseef did his master’s at SN College. He also served as DYFI’S South Kodiathur Unit Secretary, Kodiyathur Panchayath Committee President, Kozhikode District Treasurer. Vaseef has spent several days in jail as part of many protests, including the protest against the demolition of West Hill Engineering College Merit.
Hailing from Kozhikode’s Kodiathur, Vaseef is son of Veeran Kuti, who retired as the accounting officer from Education Department in Kodiathur Panchayat, and Waheeda. He is married to Dr. Arshida, who is an MD, working in Government Homeopath College, at the state capital, Thiruvananthapuram. Vaseef was also a teacher at a Higher Secondary School in Commerce Department at FMHSS Coombara.
