Doctor Called After Devotees Claim 'Heartbeat In Lord's Idol'; Netizens Troll
A video is going round on social media, leaving netizens stunned as they see a doctor placing a stethoscope on a deity’s idol to check for heart beats. Users on social media started trolling the incident, saying that India is a country in which even physicians are ‘summoned to substantiate stupidity.’
The incident reportedly occurred during a Pran Pratishtha ritual, a traditional ceremony in a temple. A devotee present in the religious ritual claimed they heard a heartbeat coming from the idol placed in the area. Notably, what baffled the netizen was that a doctor was called in to verify whether any heartbeat could actually come from the idol using his stethoscope.

The video shows a man, purportedly a doctor, arriving at the location and placing his stethoscope to listen carefully to the idol. After him, another man was seen coming forward and checking the heart beat on the idol, while the devotees around were chanting prayers.
The video has gone viral across social media platforms, with trollers creating memes with sarcastic posts. A user, Deepes Moorti Pant, sarcastically wrote that the person could not hear the heartbeat, and then called the doctor. “After hearing the heartbeat, everything should be fine, right? However, the prasad is often too oily and sweet, and the stress from the pain of suffering devotees causes tension. Could it be that an excessive heartbeat requires treatment? “A doctor is definitely needed,” the user wrote.

https://t.co/fR2DSbDmV6

Many sarcastically commented that while China is competing to build humanoid robots, people in India are checking if the idol is having a heart beat, while some described such instances as stemming from lack of literacy and the subsequent peak unemployment. Many users expressed pity over the fate of the doctor checking the idol’s heart beat using his stethoscope.
