The Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO has released the latest image of Vikram Lander from the Moon clicked by none other than Chandrayaan 3 mission”s Pragyan Rover. The image was clicked by the navigation camera (NavCam) onboard the Rover. NavCams for the Chandrayaan 3 mission are developed by the Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS), Bengaluru.
India’s pursuit of space exploration reached a remarkable milestone with the soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 mission on the lunar surface on August 23.

In another development to the Chandrayaan 3 mission, the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) instrument onboard the Rover has made the first-ever on location measurements on the elemental composition of the lunar surface near the south pole of the Moon. These measurements, according to a statement from the Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO, confirm the presence of Sulphur (S) in the region unambiguously, something that was not feasible by the instruments onboard the orbiters.
