West Bengal Chief Minister and All India Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, wishing Kohli birthday described him as “the legendary Indian batsman”. “Virat Kohli is there in Kolkata on his birthday to play a historic match for our country!! A very happy birthday to Virat!! Wish him and his family all happiness and success!!”, she added on X.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) meanwhile branded Kohli as the “incredible batter, elite chaser, born leader”. “Virat Kohli is fulfilling his destiny and will be remembered as one of the all-time greats in the history books”, they have added on social media presenting some valuable moments from Virat’s cricket life.

Kohli will be taking South Africa at the Eden Gardens cricket stadium in Kolkata today in the 2023 World Cup and is expected to put up a tough fight and maintain India’s winning streak, as the pitch is all set for a clash between the table toppers.
