Team India seamer Akash Deep made a stunning start to his Test career as he jolted the England top order on debut in the Ranchi Test. The Bihar bowler was unlucky once early in the innings after he dismissed opener Zak Crawley with a peach and celebrated the wicket only to hear a no-ball shout from the umpire as the hooter went off.
His first wicket came in the form of Ben Duckett in the 10th over after the England opener edged one straight into the gloves of Dhruv Jurel. He continued to display his brilliant bowling performance as he dismissed Ollie Pope in the fourth delivery of the same over with the ball nipping back into him and India reviewing it to get the wicket.
Deep picked up his third wicket in the form of Crawley. This time with a fair delivery as the delivery jagged back in and hit the top of the off-stump.

The Bengal fast bowler has been brilliant in domestic cricket and will look to cement his spot in the Indian Test side. He has scalped 104 wickets in 30 matches in First Class cricket at an average of 23.58. He has scalped four five wicket haul and seven four wicket haul.
The 27-year-old also has one 10-wicket haul to his name with the best match figures of 10/112 and best bowling figures in an innings of 6/60. It is likely that Akash Deep will also feature in the fifth Test against England after making a bright start to his Test career.
